The Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce has launched a campaign for the upcoming restrictions.

From Friday 17 December 2021, many businesses must comply with the State Government COVID19 restrictions. That means, checking guests’ vaccination status at the door of our venue and only those double vaccinated patrons will be allowed in.
This places a huge burden on businesses already impacted by the pandemic. Did you know, if your local publican, barista, baker, café owner, or sandwich maker does not follow the rules, they get fined?
These businesses are required by the State Government rules to police who enters these venues, to determine the vaccination status of each person, but these businesses and their staff, are not Police Officers.
While you may consider the Queensland Government rules that businesses are forced to comply with to be flawed and divisive, please understand these are not the business' rules. It’s the Queensland Government's rules.
Businesses and their employees just turn up every day and try to make a living like the rest of Australia. They are just trying to do our job!
Please be kind when the new rules come into effect.
If you have an issue with the rules, please direct these to the Queensland Government but please do not abuse us or anyone.
