Chamber Update - 26th November 2021

Chamber Update - 26th November 2021

Dear Members

From 17 December 2021, restrictions on businesses will be further eased. Many businesses and venues will be able to return to operating at full capacity.  For full details on these restrictions please click here.

These restrictions will affect non-essential leisure businesses including hospitality venues (hotels, pubs, clubs, taverns, bars, restaurants and cafes) and entertainment venues (nightclubs, live music venues, stadiums, theatres, cinemas and festivals) that will no longer need to operate under COVID-19 density limits.

From 17 December these businesses will be asked to:

  • display the vaccination rules at the business premises
  • ask for evidence of vaccination from customers at the time of check-in
  • if a customer cannot or refuses to provide evidence, ask the person to leave the premises
  • if the person refuses to leave the premises, call the police.

If you have any concerns, please reach out to the Chamber.

On behalf of the Chamber, I would like to thank Mayor Vic Pennisi for writing to the Premier concerning the restrictions and the effects they will have on our community.  Click here to view letter.

Happy Weekend!

Graham Parker
