Dear Members
On behalf of the Chamber, I would like to congratulate member Debbie Wilmot on winning the Australia Day Citizen of the Year Award for the Southern Downs.
This award is greatly deserved and recognises Debbie's outstanding service and dedication to the community of Stanthorpe through her work as a volunteer with the Chamber of Commerce, Stanthorpe Sports Association, Stanthorpe Hospital Community Consultative Committee, Stanthorpe Rugby League, Stanthorpe Zonta, Stanthorpe Little Theatre, Stanthorpe Agricultural Society and many more.
Debbie's selfless and generous work with the Stanthorpe Cancer Support Group and tireless fundraising efforts to help others, makes her truly worthy of this award.
Without tireless volunteers like Debbie, our town would not be as vibrant and while everyone can't win awards, your efforts are truly valued.
