The Chamber of Commerce is offering new members joining
now immediate membership through to 30 June 2018 for the
cost of a yearly membership fee. This is a deductable
business expense but importantly it's also an investment in
our business community.
The Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce is
the peak industry body for our business community. Its
sole purpose is to advance the interests of our members and
to work towards growing our local economy.

Membership Request, or print out, complete and return
Membership Invitation. We we will be in touch with you
as soon as possible.
We will forward an invoice to you and once your membership has been paid, you
will be entitled to all the benefits that membership of the Stanthorpe & Granite
Belt Chamber of Commerce provides.
Milestones & Goals
The Chamber has
an economic development plan for our district which provides direction and
keeps us focused on our goals. The plan identified what the Stanthorpe
business community could look like in future, and what would need to be
implemented for this to eventuate. This involves strong partnerships
with key organisations particularly the Southern Downs Regional Council,
strong leadership and advocacy from the Stanthorpe Chamber of Commerce and
the agreement by the community of what can be achieved in a unique region
such as the Granite Belt.

which will clearly state mutual expectations and will be the basis of

of our district.

achievements have included:
the Snowflakes in Stanthorpe Inc. event in 2016. Produced a significant
economic input to our region.
campaign “Stanthorpe First” and the shopping precinct Christmas
Promotion. Ongoing program aimed at increasing local spend and promoting
a vibrant shopping precinct.

Heritage Bank 2017 Business Excellence Awards
Awards will be celebrated at a gala dinner on the evening of Saturday the 1st
of April 2017. This will be a prestigious annual event celebrating the
achievements of local businesses.
The purpose of
staging the business excellence awards is to:

the Better Business Community culture
the Granite Belt as a regional hub for business operators
knowledge, education and networking opportunities for Granite Belt
We are expecting
around 200 to attend the awards dinner. Our MC for the night is our local
state member the Hon. Lawrence Springborg. We have planned a fantastic
night of great entertainment, great food and local wines and great

School and two senior students nominated by the school.

our area are encouraged to nominate and we will approach businesses who have
not nominated but have been referred to the Chamber for nomination.
Nomination forms with supporting documentation will be available on the
Chamber’s website shortly. If you would like notice of when nominations are

soon as they are posted on the website.
A strong broad
based membership empowers the Chamber and strengthens our ability to
advocate on behalf of our members and to
protect and promote the interests of businesses and the broader community of
